ELENA BUITRAGO

I want to use my knowledge to create video games that help people learn different skills and have fun. My long-term personal goal is to design a game that helps people learn languages while having lots and lots of fun and to be able to work in different game types and genres. I worked as a teacher for over 5 years in Colombia. I taught languages, academic writing, speech analysis, computer science, math, chemistry, and materials design. I moved to Vancouver in 2018 since the game industry has limited professional options in my hometown.

I am passionate about technology and video games. I like swimming, playing tennis, and basketball. I love reading listening to music, playing board games, painting, reading, and playing video games.

I consider myself a responsible and dedicated person who likes to help others.

My favorite videogame genres are puzzles and action-adventure games.

I have discovered that as a game designer I am really good at and enjoy the most designing game levels, game flows, writing documentation, and UI/UX.
